The Human Form as Abject

The human form holds the power to evoke both profound pleasure and unsettling discomfort. It occupies a paradoxical space where beauty and disgust, desire and revulsion can coexist, sometimes within the same glance. This interplay between attraction and aversion is what makes the human body so powerful, both in its aesthetic appeal and in its potential to disrupt the norms of visual comfort. It is this tension, this crossroads of opposing sensations, that I am highlighting here.
